With the Amazon-Crunchyrolll distribution agreement, Prime Video subscribers are in for a treat as the popular anime streaming platform is now available on Amazon Prime Video in select regions: Canada, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Subscribers from other countries, though, will have to wait until 2024.
By heading to the Prime Video Store, users can select between two Crunchyroll monthly subscription offers, namely Fan membership and Mega Fan membership. While both memberships promise ad-free viewing, the latter subscription package offers additional perks, such as offline viewing and four-device simultaneous streaming. Viewers need not worry about the price since the cost of both packages remains unchanged regardless of whether they purchase their subscription on the Crunchyroll app itself or Amazon Prime Video.
Another feature that is introduced is the anime streaming service’s linear channel. Exclusive to US viewers and accessible via Amazon Freevee, the linear channel contains a plethora of fan-favorite anime shows for new and old fans to watch at any time—albeit with ads.
